Goals of Immanuel's Youth Program
The Youth Ministry program at Immanuel Presbyterian Church has as its goal to integrate the youth into the life of the church --making them feel that Christianity is an important part of their lives and that they are an important part of the church. Immanuel seeks to:
Affirm their worth as children of God.
Respect their thoughts and insights.
Preserve the emotional and physical well-being of our youth in class and on youth outings
Invite youth to be part of Immanuel's worship, spiritual, study, government and social life.
Challenge our youth both intellectually and spiritually through discussions and activities.
The Youth Ministries program is four-pronged. It focuses on Bible study (through classes, but also in other contexts --- on mission trips, for example), service, fellowship, and interfaith dialogue.
Immanuel has an active congregation of teenagers and young adults. Through Sunday School, social gatherings, and volunteer opportunites, there is plenty for young people to do! Junior High and Senior High Sunday Schoool classes meet Sundays at 10:10 a.m.
