Music Program
Under the leadership of Brian Wilhour, our Director of Music, music is a vital ministry at Immanuel, for both the actual program participants (singers, bellringers, and other instrumentalists) and the worshipping congregation.
Lee Larsen, our Director of Children's Music, encourages the children and youth of Immanuel to express themselves musically and to experience music as an integral part of our worship.
Opportunities to participate in the music program:
Sanctuary Choir - Adults. Rehearsals: Tuesdays 7 p.m. Sanctuary Choir sings each week.
Motet Choir (small ensemble) - Adults (small ensemble). Rehearsals: Tuesdays 8:30 p.m. Motet Choir sings approximately once a month.
Sanctuary Bell Choir - Adults with some music reading experience. Rehearsals: Tuesdays 1:00 p.m. Sanctuary Bell Choir rings approximately once every 6 weeks.
Fellowship Bells - Adults. Some music reading experience helpful. Rehearsals: Tuesdays 5:00 p.m. Fellowship Bells ring approximately once every 6 weeks.
Primary Choir - Grades 1 - 3. Rehearsals: Sundays 9:00 a.m.
Junior Choir - Grades 4-7. Rehearsals: Sundays 11:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
The Music Committee meets on a Tuesday once a month at 6:00 p.m. to oversee and support the music program.
