Stewardship

The Stewardship Committee coordinates and constructs ways and means for members and friends of Immanuel to be good stewards of their individual talents and possessions.

Immanuel encourages full participation in its church life, not only through financial giving, but also in helping to maintain our facilities, actively participating in the many ministries available such as Community Service and Action, Congregational Care, Christian Education or by volunteering in the church office.

Each year in the fall we observe Commitment Sunday when all active participants of Immanuel are asked to make a financial pledge to the church to support its various ministries and benevolences for the coming year. This is an important aspect of our Christian stewardship. It also permits the church to operate on a sound and businesslike basis. Everyone is encouraged to return a pledge card and, in so doing, fulfill our calling as good stewards of the many riches God has given each of us.
