The Membership Committee encourages a welcoming environment for visitors and works to deepen the Christian experience of current members. We inform potential members and the broader community about the purposes, ministries, and spiritual journey of Immanuel’s members. Committee responsibilities include:

• Join the congregation in greeting guests during fellowship hour
• Assist with the organization of new member classes
• Write biographies of new members and take their photographs
• Encourage the assimilation of new members and their families into the life of Immanuel
• Organize name tags for Sunday services
• Encourage the identification of time and talent to commit to Christ’s service
• Replenish pew cards
• Assist the Session in maintaining accurate membership records
• Inform the McLean community of Immanuel events of broad interest
• Develop informational brochures about Immanuel for various audiences
