Finance
The primary role of the Finance Committee is to ensure Immanuel's financial stability, including the development of the annual budget and the monitoring of contributions and expenditures. The committee advises the business manager, and reviews investments.
The church treasurer is appointed by the Session and is a member of this committee with particular oversight of the investment portfolios. Other members include a Session liaison, the chair of the Stewardship committee, the business manager and others with special interest or background in this area of expertise.
It has particular responsibility to advise the Session on financial matters affecting the church. In addition, it acts as a resource to other church committees assisting them in activities such as program and budget development.
