Immanuel's Incredible Quest
Children's Program

Are you looking for adventure? Then you’ll want to get on board with “Immanuel's Incredible Quest” (IIQ) ... our new Church School educational model.

What is Immanuel's Incredible Quest?

IIQ allows our children to learn about God and the Bible in many different ways -- through drama, art, games, cooking, and more! A given class of students will rotate through different workshops each Sunday and experience the same Bible story in a different medium.
Find out more about IIQ!

Other Aspects of Our Children’s Program

FAMILY SUNDAYS are held once a month, usually on the third Sunday of each month. On these Sundays, children will attend the first 15 minutes of morning worship (9:00 a.m. service only) with their parents. Children in Preschool to Grade 2 may then be excused to attend Morning Hour or remain in worship with their parents.

MUSIC & MISSION SUNDAYS are held three or four times a year. On these Sundays, children are given the opportunity to perform a hands-on mission project and learn special seasonal church music.

MORNING HOUR: This 9:00 a.m. education, play, and worship program is for children ages 3 years through Grade 2. It runs concurrent with the 9:00 a.m. worship service.

SUMMER CHURCH SCHOOL is a summer program that is held Sundays from 10:00 a.m.—11:00 a.m. It is divided into two age groups (based on grade entering in the fall):
Pre-School (3 years--Kindergarten) and Lower Elementary (Grades 1-3). Children will begin the morning attending worship in the sanctuary and will be escorted to the Meeting House after the Children’s Message.

Youth Ministries
Go to Youth Ministries Home Page

The Youth Ministry program has as its goal to integrate the youth into the life of the church – making young people feel that Christianity is an important part of their lives and that they are an important part of the church. The Youth Ministries program is four-pronged. It focuses on fellowship, service, Bible study, and interfaith dialogue. Some of the highlights of the past year include our annual ski trip, tutoring our mentally challenged neighbors, boating on the Potomac, combining with other churches and synagogues to pick apples for needy families, our summer service trips to West Virginia and Pennsylvania with Habitat for Humanity, and a summer international mission project in Honduras. There is a weekly Sunday School for youth, and a fellowship or mission activity at least once a month.
